Genevieve Green, MA
Hi there and welcome!
My conceptualization of the therapeutic process is deeply person-centered and rooted in the belief that each human has within them inherent wisdom and potential for growth. I aim to provide a therapeutic environment that invites each individual to begin taking steps inward to build awareness of and explore their emotions and experiences. Through this process of cultivating self-knowledge and increasing acceptance in the present, we become equipped to begin making choices that lead to enhanced well being, greater connection with those we love, and a more fulfilling existence. I utilize a blend of relational, existential, somatic, emotion-focused, cognitive, and mindfulness-based approaches to assist you with enhancing your capacity to effectively move through a variety of challenges and heal from hurt. Whoever you are, wherever you may be, it would be an honor to walk alongside you in your journey. I am currently a Registered Clinical Social Worker Intern accruing hours to receive my full LCSW license in the state of Florida. I earned my Bachelor’s in Psychology and Master’s in Social Work from the University of West Florida, and I have worked with individuals across the lifespan facing a variety of issues including grief, trauma, anxiety, depression, relationship and family of origin dynamics, life transitions, work-related challenges, military issues, and more. I have completed training to become a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional (CCTP), and also in Somatic Integration & Processing (SIP I & II), Emotionally Focused Individual Therapy (EFiT), Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), and Trust-Based Relational Intervention (TBRI).
